When you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from the OAuth provider. We use this to create and manage your account.

Quiz Responses

When you take the ikigai discovery quiz, your answers are sent to our AI system to generate your personalized analysis. Your quiz responses and results are stored in your account so you can revisit them.

Analytics Data

We use PostHog for product analytics. This collects:

• Page views and navigation patterns
• Button clicks and feature interactions
• Device type, browser, and general location (country/region)
• Session recordings (anonymized replays of how you interact with the site)

Analytics data is used to understand how people use ikigaiQuiz so we can improve the experience.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To provide the Service: Process quiz responses through AI and deliver your results
• To improve the product: Analyze usage patterns and fix issues

3. Third-Party Services

• Anthropic (Claude) — AI processing for quiz conversations. Your quiz responses are sent to Anthropic's API to generate your analysis. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train their models. Anthropic Privacy Policy
• Google / GitHub — OAuth sign-in providers. We only receive the profile information you authorize during sign-in.

4. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

• Authentication: Keeping you signed in
• Analytics: PostHog uses cookies to track anonymous usage data

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. You can manage cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect functionality.

We retain your account data and quiz results as long as your account is active. Analytics data is retained according to PostHog's default retention policies. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
